| Tal
Streeter
|
The Streeter family was among the earlier settlers of Riley County. Tal went through all the grades in Manhattan, from kindergarten on, graduating from Manhattan High School in 1952, and then attended KU, graduating with a Master’s degree in Design & Sculpture and teaching there before moving to NYC to initiate his career in sculpture. He is represented in numerous private and public collections both here (the Museum of Modern Art among others) and abroad. He lives with his wife in Santa Fe and upstate New York—and continues
his relationship with his hometown, returning to Manhattan on a regular
basis, recently working in partnership with a group of Manhattanites to
ensure that Manhattan’s Damon Runyon House was protected by renovation
and a place on the National Registry of Historic Places.
