I seek a method of applying layers of paint or collaged ephemera that are deemed correct when a level of tedium or boredom is experienced.  An analogy would be driving a vehicle automatically while simultaneously being absorbed in a dissimilar idea. The curious aspect of this activity is that a life and death process is performed as a near machine like function.  My interest in creating art from this level of consciousness is that it reveals a temperament that is both personal and impersonal.  It is a personal revelation in the sense that the impetus originates from within, yet the process seems dispassionate and automatic.

Through continuous trials certain materials resonate and constitute a language from which images are organized, yet the leaning is towards disinformation. The use of number is central to the imagery because of its role as an ordering principle. The final challenge is confronting my own memory of aesthetic arrangements and perhaps happening upon something original.
